With a focus on plays that integrate burlesque performances into a scripted narrative much in the way a musical integrates songs, Porkpie International (formerly Pinchbottom Burlesque) has produced shows and events at NYC venues ranging from Off-Broadway to dive bars, and in over 30 cities on 3 continents around the world. The company's theatrical approach earned it the "Best Burlesque" award in New York Magazine's 2006 Best of NY Issue, while the Village Voice once called it "the best burlesque show in town."
Since its inception, the company has produced over 50 scripted burlesque plays, plus a few dozen other shows and events, at venues including Collective:Unconscious, Walkerspace, 45 Bleecker, The Zipper, Duane Park, The Slipper Room, the Triad, The Elektra Theater, The Players Theater, The Kraine, Galapagos Artspace, The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, The Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender in Las Vegas, The House of Yes, Coney Island USA's Sideshows by the Seashore Theater, and The Laurie Beechman Theater.

Welcome to The Filthy Lucre , where the cover charge is exorbitant, the drinks are watered down, and management steals the performers' tips. What sort of money-grubbing miser would run a "Gentleman's Club" like this? Who else but Scrooge?
When the scantily-clad spirit of her former business partner returns from the grave, the "nudest Scrooge in history" goes on a tassel-twirling journey with the Ghosts of Burlesque Past, Present, and Future. Will this haunting bump-and-grind-through-time help bitter Ebeneza see the error of her exploitative ways? Of course it will. You know the story, but you've never seen it quite like this.
"Nudest Scrooge in history ... perhaps this 'Christmas Carol' isn't the best choice for the kiddies." - The New York Times
"If you like your spiritual redemption stories perked up with pasties and tassels , this is the Carol for you." - Time Out New York
" Heartwarming, scantily clad rendering of the old standby... a lively evening of entertainment." -Bob Krasner, The Villager
Dateline: 1938! After shutting down NY’s striptease shows, an ambitious city official turns his prudish attentions to Coney Island, scheming to terminate the 10-in-1, the thrill rides, the midway games, and everything else the People’s Playground is famous for! It’s up to the Flim Flam Sideshow's house doctor, a boardwalk grifter, and a suspiciously silent merchant of wieners to thwart the pernicious politico … with burlesque! This new madcap frolic in the Marxian vein kicks off the Burlesque at the Beach 2024 season with an unprecedented 3 night run as part of MarxFest 2024.
As Harpo — who made his stage debut in Coney Island! — said: "Burlesque is a legitimate form of show business. It’s the audience that perverts it." Classic comedy meets carny meets the ol' bump-n-grind in this burlesque tribute to the Marx Brothers.
"A hilarious hoot!" - Trav SD, author of No Applause, Just Send Money, The Book that Made Vaudeville Famous , on Travelanche
"Demented and joyful... made me want to watch their films again" - Elyssa Maxx Goodman, author of Glitter and Concrete: A Cultural History of Drag in New York City , on Miss Manhattan
Glamorous ghouls, titillating terrors, and flirtatious fiends haunt the stage of a diabolical doctor’s Evil Laboratory and Cabaret Space, where the sinister scientist, their aberrant assistant, and a vicious intern conduct erotic experiments in striptease to reawaken a dearly departed love from the flaming depths of the Nether Regions.
Bump and grind meets Hammer Horror in the bewitching burlesque play DEAD SEXY, a twisted and titillating tale of love, death, striptease, and everything in between. Starring a killer cast of frighteningly attractive, monstrously talented, disturbingly seductive burlesque stars. Never have the undead been quite so alluringly unclothed. Brace yourself for a frighteningly seductive night of theater of that's equal parts blood 'n' gore -- and bump 'n’ grind!
"You’ll find plenty of tricks and treats at Jonny Porkpie’s ghoulish burlesque comedy." -Time Out New York Best Halloween Theater 2024
"Sexy, spooky, and downright hilarious... one of the most unique shows you’ll see this Halloween season!" -Edward A Kliszus, The Front Row Center
